Outsourced Test Services for Triple-play Networks
Our Outsourced Test Services for Triple-play Networks portfolio combines our xDSL Triple-Play Probes and the ISP-I Suite of Test Management Software together with an outsourced service configuration option and 24x7 access to our Global Operations & Service Configuration Center. Working in unison the solution provides a unique, tried and tested capability to pre-qualify, provision, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IP triple-play service delivery.
24x7 Global Operations & Service Configuration Center
Support is always at hand. Remote Test Definition, Scheduling and execution is aided, in the first instance, by personnel in our UK-based Operation Center. Our dedicated team can provide service configuration and scheduling advice, based on years of working with Telcos around the world. Test Scheduling can typically be initiated via Phone, email, Instant Messenger (IM) or Skype.
Triple-play Test Probes
By delivering service testing and non-intrusive monitoring in one probe, Telcos have the ability to accurately identify customer-side performance issues. By deploying the ISP-I hardware probes beyond the DSLAM (typically at exchanges or Customer Premises), technicians are able to perform real-time Customer-side testing of a multitude of IP Services and report performance "looking-in" toward the IP network in real-time, providing an instant understanding of delivery quality as experienced by the customer and allowing rapid identification of problems and reducing MTTR. The probes offer a range of IP Service testing including Data, Streaming Video, VoIP and analog PSTN Voice testing to ensure the smoothest possible transition from legacy Pots switch to full IP network.
Fully-managed remote service scheduling and testing
These are the the key-phases involved in any Managed Test Services Project:
- Site definition
- Hardware Configuration & physical roll-out
- Define actual IP-services testing requirements and appropriate scheduling
- Test script creation and remote deployment to Probes
- Test Initiation
- Report analysis
Site definition
Once a client has agreed to proceed with a Managed Test Services project the first phase involves identifying appropriate points in the network in which to position the probes. This is typically "beyond the DSLAM or MSAN" at the exchange or Customer Premises or in a central Lab within a Telco's environment.
Hardware Configuration & physical roll-out
Once appropriate sites have been identified Epitiro-supplied probes and supporting hardware (Remote Power, KVMoIP, etc..)need to be physically deployed at the identified locations. This will typically involve a call to a member of our Operations & Service Configuration Center to validate two-way IP communications between the Probes and our Operations center.
Define actual IP-services testing requirements and appropriate scheduling
Once the probes are validated with the operations center, network technicians can proceed to define their testing requirements. This can include many separate test types and varying traffic schedules. Our Operations team can provide service configuration and scheduling advice based on years of working with providers around the world. Testing may include:

Test script creation and remote deployment to Probes
Once IP tests, metrics and schedules have been agreed it's the role of our operations team to build the schedules to your exacting needs. Tests can range from a single test on a 15-minute cycle to a host of tests include VoIP, Video, Peer-to-Peer and IP Data on a 24x7x365 rotational cycle. Once the schedules have been created they are remotely transferred to the individual probes in the network as appropriate.

Test Initiation
Once the test schedules have been remotely deployed the tests can be started on-demand either with a call to Operations or using automated procedures agreed with the client.
Report analysis
Once the test schedules are underway the resulting information is available immediately, in real-time, anywhere in the world using our ISP-I reporting interface.
