Internet industry gathers for glittering ‘ISPAs’ ceremony on July 9th

19th May 2009 - ISPA, the Internet Services Providers’ Association, has announced the finalists for the 11th Annual UK Internet Industry Awards. Competition for finalists’ places was particularly fierce this year with a record amount of entries from companies across the Internet sector. The announcement of the finalists follows three months of rigorous testing of entrants by ISPA’s technical testing partners, Epitiro. A complete list of finalists can be found below and the finalists for the Internet Hero and Internet Villain awards will be announced shortly.

The winners will be announced on 9th July at a glittering awards ceremony hosted at theGrosvenor Marriott Hotel. Tickets for the event can be purchased via the ISPA Awards website with ISPA members and Awards finalists able to claim significant discounts on the cost of tickets. ISPA has once again secured a high-profile panel of experts to judge the finalists, which will be chaired by Citizens Online Chief Executive John Fisher.

The ISPA Awards are the only Internet awards designed to reward excellence in the Internet industry, and attract the UK’s top Internet companies, industry figures and parliamentarians. Sponsors confirmed for this year's awards include F-Secure, Magrathea and UKFast. ISPA Secretary General, Nicholas Lansman said, "Each year the ISPAs rewards the UK’s top Internet companies in each category after thorough testing and judging of each entrant.
