David Staziker
Strategic Investment Manager, Finance Wales
David Staziker is the Strategic Investment Manager at Finance Wales, a Regional Venture Capital House managing funds of c. £130m.
David left university with 1st class honours in Applied Mathematics and a PhD in water wave scattering. He qualified as an ACA with Coopers & Lybrand in Cardiff. In 2001 David became a corporate finance manager in Gambit Corporate Finance dealing with fund raisings and disposals. This role lead to an investment role opportunity at the launch of Finance Wales original funds in Jan 2002 which he accepted. Since then David has worked through the investment teams becoming the Risk Fund Manager in 2005.
Key deals David has managed on include Bluestone, Zoobiotic, Epitiro, Innovis and Unite Technologies and sits on all these Boards. David's experience covers all forms of fund raising, trade sales, IPOs and business reorganisations as well as an extensive new work of potential funding partners and deal introducers and advisors. David has a great deal of knowledge and experience as to how high growth businesses work and uses this to add value at all opportunities in Finance Wales' portfolio.
